Block peat is used as a component of structural improvement for the production of substrates and, sometimes, for planting soils. Block peat will be fractured and screened into suitable fractions. Block peat can be formed into products of ideal structure, which cannot be achieved using other types of peat. No other type of peat has the air content and water absorption capabilities of fractured block peat.

This is the most popular type of peat, which is universal and intended for a broad range of plants and substrates. Standard-sized peat can be used for improving soil or preparing a balanced soil mix, because peat can ensure an optimum water circulation level and drainage.

Black peat is usually mixed together with other peat/soil types, depending on the intended purpose of use. It is often used for growing mushrooms. This peat is an excellent source of carbon, it has a higher humic acid content and structural stability.

Peat is an organic material collected in North Europe. It has origins from the decomposition of some plants species that lives in cold and humid habitats of Northern Europe. Usually peat is used for the garden nursery.
Peat Moss has an acidic pH, generally in the range of 3 – 4, and usually peat is not used without some corrections of pH, because majority of plants lives in the substrates with ph 5-6,5. Only acidophilic plants grow in substrates with acid pH.
We can provide peat moss of various sizes, classified by color such as white or sphagnum peat, dark peat and dark peat also peat blocks. In the market we find both milled peat and peat blocks these are much more valuable because of the structure, it is not damaged. But it is the case in milled peat, wherefore the harvest is done after the milling.
The peat is divided into fractions, ranging from 0-5 – 0-10, 0-40, 10-20 – 10-40 – 20-40 etc… White peat is mostly used for plants in pots, as they allow good drainage and have good water retention.
The dark peat is used for cultivation in greenhouses and germination of singular seeds. The peat is sold packed in bags of 150-250 liters or in big bales from 2500 to 6000 liters.
The fibrous peat, or one that contains big filaments, is suitable for sandy soils, while the finer is better for clayey soils. We also commercialize peat in blocks, which is transported by truck in bulk.
Peat blocks in bulk
Peat cut into blocks, is very valuable because after grinding and sieving the structure of peat is not damaged and there is no dusty parts as in milled peat.
